Beth Moore is Bucking the System!

“Our status-quo system of contemporary Christianity isn’t working,” says Bible teacher Beth Moore.  “Forgive me if my zeal is too easily interpreted as condemnation or criticism.  In fact, my past record of failure, defeat and pitiful mediocrity is exactly why I’m heaven-bent on sharing this message.”

“God has made us promises.  Real ones.  Numerous ones.  Promises of things like all surpassing power, productivity, peace and joy while still occupying these jars of clay.  Few of us will argue the theory, but why aren’t more of us living the reality?”

In her new book Believing God, Moore suggests that an earthly Promised Land exists right now – a place where God’s personalized promises over one’s life become a living reality rather than a theological theory.  Based on the first-of-its-kind internet Bible study “Believing God,” Moore draws parallels between and applications from the children of Israel and their land of promise.

“Like the Israelites, you and I have been promised spiritual ground for great and abiding victory on a turf where our enemy stands in defiance.  If you’re not presently occupying your Promised Land, rest assured the devil is.”

Challenging that Promised Land theology becomes an earthbound reality only to those who cash in their fear and complacency, Moore presents the prescription for a ticket out of the wilderness, exploring essential beliefs that include: God is Who Says He Is, God Can Do What He Says He Can Do, You Are Who God Says You Are, You Can Do All Things Through Christ and God’s Word Is Alive and Powerful in You.

“God’s Word has to be alive and active in us,” Moore concludes.  “Breathe it.  Believe it.  Speak it.  Live it.  Love it.  Brace yourself for it.”
