Broadman & Holman Publishers will donate 100 copies of Teen Virtue: Real Issues, Real Life...A Teen Girl's Survival Guide (April 2005) by Vicki Courtney and 100 pink tote bags to Virtuous Reality Ministries to pass out to teen girl victims of hurricane Katrina.
Teen Virtue takes a firm stand on living the godly life. While recognizing that living the virtuous life is not always easy to do, Courtney encourages teens to rely on God for the strength to walk the straight and narrow path. She also offers God’s grace for the teenager who may have already chosen the wrong road. Teen Virtue gives teens the information they need in a hip and practical format that they will want to read.
Virtuous Reality Ministries is located in Austin ,Texas, which has over 5,000 hurricane Katrina evacuees. Executive Director of Virtuous Reality Ministries, Julie Shannan says "This has been soft soil for the gospel with so many people turning to God during this tragedy. A group of Christian teen girls have volunteered to distribute Teen Virtue and bags to teen girl evacuees after school. We are praying that God will use Teen Virtue as a witnessing tool for His Kingdom."
Vicki Courtney is the founder of Virtuous Reality Ministries® and virtuousreality.com, an online magazine for middle school girls, high school girls, college women, and women. She is a national speaker and the author of several popular Bible studies and books.
