Dear B & H Publishing Customer:
In an effort to provide you with the best customer service possible, B&H will implement Oracle’s E-Business Suite on Nov. 1.
Changes you will notice with the new business system are:
- Compliance with the new 13-digit ISBN standard.
- Invoices will be printed and mailed once items have been shipped versus being provided with the shipment. All invoices will be mailed unless you are an Electronic Data Interface customer who receives electronic invoices.
- Invoices will only show shipped product. Product that has been canceled because of customer preferences or product issues will not be noted on the invoice. This information will be supplied to you by phone or fax when your order is placed. EDI customers will receive this information via their Purchase Order Acknowledgement.
- Backorder information will be indicated on the packing list included with your initial shipment. Due dates are not available on the packing list at this time but will be an enhancement that we will pursue as soon as possible.
- Invoices may be viewed and printed from our Web site (www.bhpublishinggroup.com) as soon as your order ships and the invoice is created. Call us at 1-800-251-3225 and request that a PIN be added to your statement account so you may access this information. You also may track an order and check on the status of an order in process on our Web site.
Our last day to ship from our current system is Oct. 26. We will be able to accept orders but unable to process them from that date until the new system is functional on Nov. 1. We are planning for a smooth transition, but we also are taking necessary steps to handle any issues that might arise as a result of the transition. Our distributors have loaded in additional inventory to help out during this transitional period so that our customers can still meet their customers’ needs.
