Scripture:
And they said to them, "Let the Lord look on you and judge, because you have made us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us." (Ex. 5:21)

Thought:
The people of Israel feared Pharaoh more than they faithed God. They saw God's saving mission through Moses as destroying a comfortable status quo. Are you too comfortable in the world to strike out in faith, answering God's invitation?

Prayer:
Judge of the world, forgive my fear of the unknown and my faith in the known. I take my hands off the worldly securities I have trusted. I place my hands in Your strong hands. Together we will accomplish Your mission. Amen.
