Vision

To provide a platform for our authors to share their passion for and their insights into God’s word. Our authors have been called to prepare the next generation of our church leaders, and my joy is to serve them with excellence and integrity so that they can be more effective. In everything I do I am driven by an uncompromising stand for Biblical Authority and Academic Excellence.

Favorite B&H Books:

  • Breaking the Missional Code: Your Church Can Become a Missionary in Your Community by Ed Stetzer & David Putman.
Great insights into why some churches and ministries are effectively reaching the lost for Christ. I am particularly familiar with the “Set Free” churches that are discussed in this book, and these men clearly understand that we will not fulfill the great commission unless we constantly adapt how we do what we are called to do.
  • God’s Indwelling Presence: The Holy Spirit in the Old and New Testaments by James M. Hamilton, Jr.
We cannot understand the New Testament unless we understand the Old Testament. While this may seem trite, it is very true and my appreciation for what God does in me through the Holy Spirit has grown significantly since reading this book.
  • 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller.
I believe most people read this book because they are not happy in the work or career they have chosen. However, I read it because I love my job. This book helped me understand why I derive so much satisfaction from my work.

Other Books I Read This Past Year:

  • Hard to Believe: The High Cost and Infinite Value of Following Jesus by John MacArthur.
  • The Little Red Book of Selling: 12.5 Principles of Sales Greatness by Jeffrey Gitomer.
  • The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business is Selling Less of More by Chris Anderson.
  • Thinkertoys: A Handbook of Creative Thinking Techniques by Michael Michalko.
  • A Whack on the Side of the Head by Roger Von Oech.
