Bash and the Chicken Coop Caper by Burton Cole Named “Best Middle Grade Novel”

 NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  (May 29, 2015) Bash and the Chicken Coop Caper by Burton Cole was awarded a 2015 Selah Award for “Best Middle Grade Novel” by the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference (BRMCWC). Published by B&H Kids, the children’s imprint of B&H Publishing, Bash and the Chicken Coop Caper is the second book in a three book series featuring 11-year-old farm-loving Bash and his city-slicker cousin Beamer.

The two other books in the series, written for kids ages 8-years-old to 12-years-old, are Bash and the Pirate Pig (September 2013) and Bash and the Chocolate Milk Cows (May 2015). All three are publishing in trade paper, retail for $12.99, 224 page count and 9.3” x 6.1” trim size.
Burton Cole is a Pulitzer Prize nominated journalist with thirty years of experience and more than fifty humor writing awards to his credit. The Selah Awards are given annually to the best in Christian fiction by the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference (BRMCWC). The 2015 Selah Awards were announced on May 20 during the group’s annual writers conference.
