Famed Puritan preacher Jonathan Edwards is forever known for his sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” though that is only one of hundreds of sermons of great merit. Michael McMullen has compiled a second collection featuring twenty more sermons preached by Edwards that have never before appeared in print. They are taken from a collection of Edwards papers held at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Yale University and have been transcribed as a labor of love.

Michael McMullen is associate professor of church history at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. As associate for Oxford University Press’s New Dictionary of National Biography, he has written seven books including Hearts Aflame, Clouds of Heaven, and Unpublished Sermons of R.M.M’Cheyne. He resides in Kansas City, Missouri.
