Best-selling Children’s Author Amy Parker Releases Powerful New Children’s Book to Help Remind Kids of Others in Need This Christmas
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 1, 2013) – B&H Kids is pleased to announce My Christmas List by best-selling author Amy Parker, releasing this fall to bookstores everywhere.
My Christmas List is a story about a child who tosses away his old Christmas list when he learns of the desperate needs of other children and families around the world. After deciding to re-write his list, the book begins with a simple prayer,
“Dear God, this year I’m changing things — instead of toys and lots of stuff, I want Christmas for the whole wide world, especially those without enough.”
My Christmas List will remind kids of the true needs around the globe and engage them in being part of the solution, during the holiday season and all year long. He explained, ‘I don’t get anything; I buy food for people on the streets.’ That’s when I knew that I had to do something to change the way people, including my own family, approached Christmas.”
