Luis Méndez fue llamado al pastorado en 1998, en donde tuvo la oportunidad de desarrollar sus dones como predicador, consejero y supervisor. También durante esos años se familiarizó con los escritos de John Piper, e incrementó su sed de obtener más entrenamiento teológico. En el verano del 2006, la familia Méndez llegó a Minnesota y Luis comenzó su preparación teológica de cuatro años en el Instituto Bethlehem (TBI). También se ha establecido a sí mismo como experto en consejería bíblica, con certificaciones de la ACBC, CCEF y otras instituciones clave de Consejería. A menudo realiza conferencias sobre consejería y entrena a otros. Disfrutó inmensamente su rol como director del Ministerio Hispano en el Instituto Bethlehem. En la actualidad sirve como Director del Ministerio Pastoral de tiempo completo. Vilma, su esposa, trabaja junto a él liderando a las mujeres del Ministerio Hispano, en estudios bíblicos y grupos de casa «Tito 2». Luis y Vilma tienen tres hijos: Raquel, Eva y Luis.   In 1998, Luis was called to become a pastor of the church and had the opportunity to grow his gifts of preaching, counseling, and oversight. He also became familiar with the writings of John Piper during these years, and his hunger to receive further theological training increased. In the summer of 2006, the Méndez family arrived in Minnesota and Luis began his journey of four years of theological training at The Bethlehem Institute (TBI). He has also established himself as an expert on Biblical counseling, being certified by the ACBC, CCEF, and other key Biblical Counseling institutions. He regularly lectures on the subject and trains others. He greatly enjoyed his studies and his role as Director of Hispanic Ministries at Bethlehem. He now serves full-time as Pastoral Director for Hispanic Ministry. Vilma serves alongside of Luis, leading the women of the Hispanic Ministry in Bible studies and Titus 2 homemaking groups. Luis and Vilma have three children: Raquel, Eva, and Luis.
