about the authors

Scott Pace currently serves as the Vice President of Undergraduate Studies, Dean of The College at Southeastern, and Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Preaching at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a master’s of divinity, and Ph.D. in applied theology. His ministry as a pastor has extended more than twenty years in a variety of full-time and interim capacities through three states. He continues to serve local churches in various speaking and discipleship capacities, and also speaks regularly at conferences and training events that seek to equip pastors and church leaders. He and his wife, Dana, have been married since 1999 and have four children—Gracelyn, Tyler, Tessa, and Cassie.

Shane Pruitt is the National Next Gen Director for the North American Mission Board. He and his wife, Kasi, reside in Rockwall, Texas with their six children: Raygen, Harper, Titus, Morris, Elliot, and Glory. Shane has been in ministry for more than twenty years as a denominational leader, church planter, lead pastor, and student pastor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, a master’s degree in history, and Ph.D. in clinical Christian counseling. Shane is also a traveling communicator, evangelist, and Bible teacher.
